It usually happens in the first few months of committing to a yoga practice… to be honest it’s usually what makes you commit to the practice in the first place… but either way, it’s that moment. That Ah-ha moment where you realize you’ve just found that teacher/posture/sequence/style of yoga that makes you feel you are right where you are supposed to be. And you fall in love. Not that romantic love, no, more like the love of light beaming thru the trees, the love of your kids or pet or your favorite place on earth. It’s like you’ve finally arrived or you’ve discovered something no one else knows…
This is how I felt when I found Hot Yoga.
Hot Yoga for me was the eye opener I needed in life. With my parents in the middle of a rough divorce and my teenage hormones raging high, I and my awkward smile full of braces wandered into my first hot yoga class with no concept of how my life would change…
Looking back 23 years later – I recognize the importance of finding a practice in anything, not just yoga. Commitment and repetition ultimately allow us to cultivate happiness and so I’m bringing hot yoga to Wilson, WY. Both so I can continue to grow and experience that light and hopefully – if you’re willing – you can, too.
PLEASE COME JOIN ME:
Friday March 10th at 4:30pm for a FREE 1Hour ‘Tropical 26’ class at the Teton Yoga Shala.
I’ve decided to bring back the practice from my childhood and share it with the Westbank. As much as I love Jackson Hole Yoga Therapy and launching a Therapeutic Yoga business, I’ve missed the time I used to have to focus on my own yoga studies. Bringing Tropical 26 to the Teton Yoga Shala is my way of bringing hot yoga back into my life while keeping that therapeutic track I’ve been on these past few years. Classes will be more warm than hot, designed less to kick your ass and more to support your adrenals – especially if you’re someone who normally pushes hard in the mountains, work and in life. Though similar to the Bikram sequence, this class is more tailored to match the gentle way in which I was trained in that very first studio, The Greenwich Yoga Center by my wonderful teachers who now own Yoga Center Sun Valley. I hope you will enjoy this practice and the thought that has gone into it as much as I do…
There will never be a better day to start your practice then today.
So much love,
Cameron
